SkyPower’s ‘Community Connection’ program is designed to enhance quality of life in the communities where SkyPower projects are developed. A ‘Community Connection’ fund is determined by a portion of the income generated by the sales of renewable power. The fund is donated to, managed and administered by the local municipal government. SkyPower requests Community Connection funds are channeled towards program such as electricity subsidies for low income populations, skill-based training in the renewable energy sector, or youth facilities and program support.
