David E. Bacon
Chief Financial Officer (Finance and Legal Team)

David Bacon has over 18 years of experience in the areas of corporate finance, strategy, M&A, and accounting. In his role of CFO, David has successfully raised in excess of $700 million in senior debt, development and project equity in private and public markets and successfully negotiated over 500MW in turbine supply agreements for SkyPower.

Prior to joining SkyPower, David was involved in variety of corporate development and finance roles including Managing Director of a Toronto-based corporate finance advisory boutique firm and Vice-President, Corporate Development for GT Group Telecom Inc., where he was responsible for corporate development activities including acquisitions, integration, and strategy development as well as being a member of the senior management team responsible for the operational and financial restructuring and sale of the Company in 2003.

Prior to this, David was the Vice-President of Finance for a Toronto-based private merchant bank and spent more than nine years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP.

David holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and MBA from York University. David is also a CA and CPA.
