The Digby Wind Power Project
is a generating facility with a contract capacity of 30 megawatts
(MW). The Project is located in Digby County, Nova Scotia. The
Digby Wind Power Project has a strong wind regime, will strengthen
the local transmission infrastructure and is a key part of Nova
Scotia's plan to increase its renewable electricity generation
to 18.5% of total supply by 2013 as outlined in the Environmental
Goals and Sustainable Prosperity Act .
