Thomas Bernard Managing Director Lehman Brothers
Thomas E. Bernard is a Managing Director in Lehman Brothers Private Equity division and a member of the firm's Investment Committee. From 1994 through 1999, Tom managed Lehman Brothers' High Yield business. In 2000 and 2001, he managed all of the Firm's Global Credit Businesses, including emerging market and corporate debt, money markets, structured credit trading, and high yield and syndicated lending. From 1995 through 2005 he chaired Lehman's High Yield Bond and Loan Commitment Committees. Tom has over 25 years of experience trading and managing debt and lending businesses around the world.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Tom was the head of High Yield at Kidder Peabody from 1991 to 1994. Before joining Kidder Peabody, he held various senior fixed income positions at Salomon Brothers where he worked from 1979 to 1990.
Tom holds a B.A., cum laude, in Government from Harvard College.
