UN Global Compact

SkyPower is proud to be a Strategic Champion of the United Nations Caring for Climate initiative for business leadership on climate change.

Sustainable Development is a part of our DNA

SkyPower is a proud participant of the UN Global Compact (UNGC). Launched by the United Nations in 2000, the UNGC is a call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and take actions that advance societal goals.

In August 2014, the SkyPower executive team made a formal commitment to become a participant of the UNGC – the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. A month later, in September 2014,  SkyPower also became a Strategic Champion of the United Nations Caring for Climate initiative for business leadership on climate change.

As a participant of the UNGC and a Strategic Champion of the UN Caring for Climate initiative, SkyPower integrates and applies the universally accepted principles to our company’s operations, management and strategy. In SkyPower’s inaugural Communication on Progress, we describe our efforts and achievements in integrating the UNGC principles and the Caring for Climate commitments to climate action into our business strategy, culture and daily operations.
