Mr. Ressler is the founder and President of Orchard Capital Corp. (“Orchard Capital”), a firm that provides consulting and advisory services to companies in which Orchard Capital or its affiliates invest. Through his affiliation with Orchard Capital, Richard serves in various senior capacities with, among others, CIM Group, L.P., (together with its affiliates, “CIM”), a real estate investment and management company and Orchard First Source Asset Management (together with its affiliates, “OFSAM”), an investment adviser focusing on middle market debt investments. Richard also serves as a board member for various public and private companies in which Orchard Capital or its affiliates invest, including j2 Global, Inc. (NASDAQ “JCOM”).
Richard co-founded CIM in 1994 and, through an agreement with Orchard Capital, chairs its investment and asset management committees. Prior to founding Orchard Capital, from 1988 until 1994, he served in various leadership capacities at Brooke Group Limited, the predecessor of Vector Group, Ltd. (NYSE: “VGR”), including Chief Executive Officer of various operating subsidiaries, President of Brooke Overseas Limited (the real estate developer of “Ducat Place”) and as Vice Chairman of VGR. Prior to VGR, Richard was a lawyer with Cravath, Swaine, and Moore in New York City and an investment banker with the Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions Departments of Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc. in New York City and Los Angeles. Richard holds a B.A. from Brown University and J.D. and MBA degrees from Columbia University.
Mr. Shemesh, Co-Founder and a Principal of CIM, has been an active real estate investor for over 23 years. Since co-founding CIM in 1994, Avraham has been instrumental in building the Firm’s real estate and infrastructure platforms with more than $11 billion of assets under management and more than $6 billion in investor capital under management. As a Principal and Head of the Firm’s Investments Group, he is actively involved in the investment process and provides guidance on the diverse investment ideas across CIM’s platforms. He serves on the Firm’s Investment and Asset Management Committees. Additionally, Avraham is responsible for the day-to-day operations of CIM, including strategic initiatives, property management & leasing and investor relations. Prior to CIM, Avraham was involved in a number of successful entrepreneurial real estate activities including co-founding Dekel Development, which developed a variety of commercial and residential properties in Los Angeles. Avraham lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
Ms. Gandin is a Principal, Investments. She joined CIM in 2003. Prior to joining CIM, Jennifer worked in acquisitions for the private equity firm Gores Technology Group, as an investment banker for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, in equity research covering stocks traded on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and as a C.P.A. at Price Waterhouse. Jennifer received a B.S. in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Mr. Eppich is a Principal, Investments. He joined CIM in 2002. Prior to joining CIM, Kelly served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Decurion Corporation/Pacific Theatres. In that capacity, he was responsible for all areas of finance, accounting, treasury, risk management and information systems development of the firm. From 1989 to 2000, he was Vice President Finance / Controller and then Vice President of Business Development, Finance, and Administration for the International Recreation Enterprises Division of Warner Brothers. Prior to joining Warner Brothers, Kelly served as an Assistant Vice President and Assistant Corporate Controller for Maxicare Health Plans Inc (1986 – 1989) and worked for Ernst & Young (1979 – 1986). Kelly received a B.S. degree in Finance with an emphasis in Accounting from Weber State University.
David Kassie is Chairman of the Board of Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. David was Principal, Chairman and CEO of Genuity Capital Markets [November 2004 to May 2010] at which time Genuity was acquired by Canaccord Genuity Financial. He is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CIBC World Markets and the Vice Chairman of CIBC [from 1979 – 2004].
David has extensive experience as an advisor, underwriter, and principal. He sits on a number of corporate boards and is on The Advisory Board of Omers Ventures. David is actively involved in the community and charitable organizations and is on the Boards of the Ivey School of Business, the Toronto International Film Festival Group and formerly on the Board of the Hospital for Sick Children.
David holds a B.Comm. (Honours) in Economics from McGill University, 1977 and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, 1979.

A trusted and sought after industry advisor, Kerry continues to be instrumental in the success of the Green Energy Act and Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program. With Kerry’s input, Ontario became North America’s first jurisdiction to have comprehensive clean energy legislation.
With many accolades amassed over the span of his impressive entrepreneurial career, Kerry was most recently honoured with recognition by the United Nations Global Compact as the 2016 Pioneer for Climate Action for his efforts that align with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 on climate action. Kerry also earned the Clean50 Executive Award for his outstanding contribution to sustainable development and clean capitalism. The Canadian Solar Industries Association named Kerry the Solar Advocate of the Year in 2010.
Profit Magazine named Kerry the Chief Executive Officer of Canada’s Hottest Start-up (2002), and President and Chief Executive Officer of one of Canada’s Hot 50 Companies (2003). At the 2002 Profit GrowthCamp, Kerry was named Canada’s Hottest CEO. Previously, Kerry was awarded the UN Global Young Entrepreneur Award at the United Nations’ World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs.
Kerry currently acts as a board member, advisor and angel investor to numerous start-up companies in emerging technology, software, media and infrastructure industries. He is also an accomplished speaker at universities and industry and government events, as well as a contributor to numerous professional journals and textbooks.
Kerry’s proven business leadership spans across multiple industries around the globe. His previous experience includes Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Webhelp Worldwide, an international BPO solutions group, which today has grown to over 22,500 employees and revenue approaching US $1 billion. Before founding Webhelp in 1999, Kerry served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SITEL Canada and Executive Vice President, office of the President of SITEL Corporation, a leading NYSE-listed CRM company with more than 24,000 employees in 18 countries. Prior to that, Kerry served as Executive Vice President of Canadian Telephone Company and President of Corpfon Cellular, Canada’s first cellular reseller network.
Educated in both the USA and Canada, Kerry studied at Bryant University and Concordia University, with specializations in Marketing and Management, and Economics (Honours).
